Welcome to Basket-Craft.com

I have been making baskets for over 15 years, and I have been enjoying

them all my life. In 1988 I took classes in basketry and have followed

up with courses in North Carolina.

The type of Basketry I employ is called coiling.

I incorporate various types of materials from raffia and waxed linen to

artificial sinew and silk. For handles, I use anything from a pinecone to jade and ivory.

Additional embellishments can include: sea urchin spines, beads, porcupine quills.

Embellishment is limited only by the imagination.

Combining the arts of basketry and gourd art is another avenue of expression that

is intensely satisfying, and it is limitless in application.

I teach classes regularly at my home and from time to time

at Los Angeles Harbor City College.

For the past four years, I have been selling my baskets locally

through an antique and crafts shop in San Pedro.

I have recently shown them at the Arts and Crafts

Shows in Anaheim and San Francisco. Now, I have joined the newest

medium for showing and selling my baskets--my own website.

Please take a look at my scrapbook. All of my baskets are for sale. Also,

if I have sold a particular one you would like or if you have a vision for one,

I also take and fill orders. I keep detailed records of every basket I make: size,

materials used,  and embellishments if any; consequently I can reproduce any basket

I make if the basket you have your heart set on has been sold to someone else.

Please feel free to contact me with any question, comments,

and orders you have. My website is still under construction and is

constantly being updated.

Thank you for stopping by and welcome to Basket-Craft.com
